Learn the basics.
Before a student is qualified to be an analyst, he or she will need to complete a training program. This program has been completely developed by current members and will cover a wide array of information related to investing. The program will take place at the beginning of every semester and will be comprised of a total of 8 keynotes with a comprehensive exam following. The keynote topics are as follows:
- Introduction
- Basic Economics
- Portfolios
- Portfolio Structure
- Financial Statements
- Discounted Cash Flow
- Ratios and comparables
- Investment Research
- Stock Pitches
As soon as a student completes the training program and passes the comprehensive exam, they are considered an "analyst" and will be expected to pitch a stock within the following semester.
